Recycling announcements will not deliver more homes - Mike Tuffrey
11.43.00am GMT Tue 3rd Nov 2009
Mike Tuffrey, Leader of the Liberal Democrat London Assembly Group, commenting on the Mayor's announcement at today's Housing Investment Summit that he has requested an audit of land owned across the GLA family said:
"I am baffled by the Mayor declaring today that he would like to see an audit of land owned across the GLA when the Mayor is on record as claiming such an audit has already been undertaken!
"The Mayor clearly needs to spend more time delivering on his pledges and less time recycling announcements."

Notes to editors:
In answer to a written question asked by Mike Tuffrey in July 2009 the Mayor claimed an extensive audit of London Development Agency and Transport for London land was well under way: http://www.london.gov.uk/mqt/public/question.do?id=27147
The Mayor is also on record in January 2009 as claiming that an audit of LDA land had been completed and the assessment of sites owned by TfL will be completed "shortly"
